Die Stimme ist die singuläre, akustische Erscheinung eines Individuums. Aber was wird aus dieser Stimme, wenn das Individuum dividuell geworden ist? Wenn es zerteil- und quantifizierbar und anhand von Performancemarkern, Klicks und Likes bemessen wird? Das Ensemble Artmann&Duvoisin untersuchen in Stimme und Bewegung die Überschneidung ihrer tänzerischen Tätigkeit mit neoliberalen Konzepten von Selbst und Arbeit und spekulieren, wie sich die künstlerische Sprache verändern kann, wenn Ideen von Steigerung, Erneuerung, Singularität und Selbstüberwindung feierlich verabschiedet werden. Denn wenn unsere Körper mitsamt unserer Stimme vom psychosomatischen Produktionsprozess unseres gegenwärtigen Kapitalismus absorbiert und wie Rohstoffe abgebaut werden, was bleibt dann noch für eine demokratische Praxis übrig?
Elsa Artmann und Samuel Duvoisin arbeiten seit 2015 an performativen und installativen Formaten im Theater- und Kunstkontext. Themen ihrer Arbeit sind Formate und Konzepte gesellschaftlichen Zusammenlebens wie die Kleinfamilie, Wohnen und Arbeit. Dabei begleiten sie Fragen nach kollektiver Komposition und geteilter Autor*innenschaft ebenso wie nach dem politischen Gehalt tänzerischer Tätigkeit.

The voice is the singular, acoustic presence of an individual. But what becomes of this voice when the individual has become dividable? When it becomes fragmented and quantifiable and is measured by performance markers, clicks and likes? In Voice and Movement, Artmann&Duvoisin examine the intersection of their dance practice with neoliberal concepts of self and labor, and speculate how artistic language can change when ideas of enhancement, renewal, singularity, and the overcoming of self are solemnly adopted. After all, if our bodies, along with our voices, are absorbed and mined like raw materials by the psychosomatic production process of our contemporary capitalism, what is left for a democratic practice?
Elsa Artmann and Samuel Duvoisin have been working on performative and installative formats in the theater and art context since 2015. Themes of their work are formats and concepts of social coexistence such as the nuclear family, housing and work. Questions of collective composition and shared authorship accompany them, as does the political significance of performance and dance.
The number of participants in the dance performance is limited.
